Sweet or savoury carrot chips

  • 1 carrot sliced thinly into rounds or peeled with a vegetable peeler
  • ½ tablespoons olive oil
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • Cinnamon spice for sweet
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper spice for savoury
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne spice for savoury


  • Preheat oven to 220° degrees and line with a baking sheet
  • Combine carrots (either rounds or peels depending on which version you’re making) in a medium bowl with olive oil and spices
  • Toss to combine
  • Transfer to the baking sheet and arrange in a single layer
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, watching carefully
  • Chips can go from crispy to burn in as little as a minute since they are so thin
  • Remove from oven and serve immediately
